Test and Tune tonight
They've started dragging the track after spraying it and from what I could see last week, the cars were hooking hard. I'm going to try it again this coming Saturday. I might even get in the race if testing goes well.
Come on out and make all the passes you want. SeeYa there tonight!

It's ok Backmotor, I'll come back to race another day. mother nature always does what she wants.
Might see you on the tenth. Just not sure when I'll be able to go back cause I have relatives visiting. I can't participate in billetproof cause my car has some shinny stuff on it but I know the grey primer would be ok.

Change of plans.....a water pipe under the house decided to sacrifice itself this AM, by the time I got it repaired, it was late. We will reschedule for this coming Thurs or Sat, and still plan on the BilletProof Nat's on the 25th

First things first. Glad you got your water pipe fixed. I went to the track Saturday to test the slicks and my new trans brake. It was sunny until I hooked up the trailer then it started getting cloudy. By the time we got to the track, it was raining. It cleared up and time trials started. Shortly after all the power went out in the area. It was down for about an hour and finally came back on. On my first pass, I set the 2 step at 3K and left with the wheels up the slicks hooked good. When I shifted into second it hesitated and then went into second, when I shifted into 3rd it hesitated even more and finally went into third. On the second pass it was even worst. That was it, I was done for the night. DOn't want to burn it up. I think that it's not pulling enough fluid because of the extended pick up for my deep pan putting the filter against the bottom of the pan. I'm going to remove the extension and see what happens. I was going to get into the race if my trans brake would have worked but it wasn't to be. George

I went there yesterday and saw you there. I had tried some different things on my tranny trying to solve the problem and it still didn't work.
My wife was with me so I sat in the bleachers all night with her and wached the races. Today I reinstalled my manual valve body and went to the track to test. No change, the problem is still there. I called a friend in NC who does transmissions for a Ford dealer there and he explained that because it's not coming out of second quickly and goes into third slowly that the problem is in the servo. I had the servo cover off and might have damaged a seal or put the piston in a bind when I re-installed the cover so I'll be checking that out this week to see what I find. If I can find a problem with the servo and correct it, I'll go out Thurs to see if it will shift all three gears. If it does, I'll re-install the trans brake.

Don't know when I can go out again since I have my mom visiting from CT. Still haven't tested the new slicks.
