Welding
There's no welding section here on TR. Figured I would start a welding thread. I know username, jkpa45 and Roque can weld very good.
I started welding stainless yesterday. Aluminum today. No. Not for profit. Simply as a hobby. I don't need nor want to learn how-to weld on customer's parts.
I had welded once at a shop in West Palm Beach and once at a shop in Tampa. Errol from TPS in West Palm Beach set me up with his welder. Gave me some pointers. And left me to it. jkpa45 has given me some tips here and there (greatly appreciated). But he's a busy man. So he doesn't have time for my shit
I've just been trial and erroring it.

Alpha those welds looks good . Jonathan = username i don't know if its the one you referring to .
My shit still slow
618 whp 492 ft/lbs at 22 psi (Low Boost)on pump gas ,

Aluminum welding is all in the quality of the base metal and the prep you put into it. Get some nice clean high quality aluminum alloy and it welds great. Go try and weld on a honda valve cover and the welds will look like shit. Keep practicing.
Don't bother giving me "rep", I won't return it and I think it is stupid.

Did a little stainless today. It pissed me off for a while. Then I started trying different settings on the welder. Wow. What a difference. Forgot to take pictures but did take a picture of this with my camera
