f22a 4th gen Prelude getting horrrrrrible gas mileage
So I just got a 95 Prelude off of a friend of mine, and when I bought it he said that he had pulled the tps without marking it and it needed to be adjusted. I never got a direct and specific volatage that it needed to be set at, I've seen a lot of people say .5v at idle, 4.5 at wot. So I tried to set it to .5 and the lowest I could get it was .8, it wouldn't turn anymore.
I've been driving it back and forth to work which is about 15 miles round trip, and daily I use around 2 bars of fuel, which is almost 2 gallons.. In the mornings when I start the car, it takes a couple of tries, rpm surges for about 20 seconds and when you give it gas, it pops and what not and I can smell fuel when I'm idling in traffic. It seems to be running extremely rich, any thoughts aside from basic maintenance? Because something is definitely wrong, I know preludes don't get the best of gas mileage but damn.. ~7mpg is just bad.
