OK so i have a supercharged gsr hatch pushing 11lbs of boost not 12, i had it dynoed on the other side of florida at the horsepower connection, they gave me 7-8 runs on the dyno for 150 bucks, i left there at 213whp at 7k rpms. (168fpt)
so i took it to pete's shop dyno day and they let me get 3 or 4 runs (just to see where the motor is at), on the 1st run they said the motor was knocking and the moved the distributor a little and told me it stopped they charged me a total of $55 and i gained an extra 2 hp to make it 215whp at 7k again and 170fpt. but it was smoother
so i got a hold of JAP dan from brothers racing, the 1st run on the dyno i made only 186whp,
How can that be i just had it dynoed at petes shop 3 weeks ago and they seen 215whp. on the same tune!!!
anyway Jap dan really took his time with tuning it and i left there with 232whp (on a hot motor - i bet it has more hp when temps are optimal). on the last run on the dyno he was just making sure the chip he just burned did what it was suppose to. when it hit rev limiter the motor jumped and snapped the motor mount bolt off in the block and the 2 others stripped right out, i guess when the mount broke it hit the timing belt some how and completely stretched my timing belt. it jumped timing a little and Jap dan knew exactly what to do. he shut it off.
at this point its now 7:30 - 8pm and they started calling guys into work to see what they can do about my car, they had a timing belt there and new bolts to replaced the stripped ones. they took 3hrs fixing everything and then only asked me how much i want to pay for the belt, i only had $50 cash and they were happy to only take that. they hooked me up and the car feels incredible it idles better and feels amazing, i haven't got on it yet but at lower throttles it's got alot more power
ps i only have 2 bolts holding the motor mount in to the block now cause one snapped in the block, it seems really stiff and i'm not going to be driving it past rev limiter. but how can i fix it. I WANT THE SIMPLEST PLAN
pss how can one dyno read 215 and another read 186 on the same tune.

Scott please get in touch with Terry! He can help you out. He is great, since I found him, I havent taken my car anywhere else. And also, can you get me Japs number, my brothers head just came in, and well be looking for tuning shortly. Thanks. Dave

dude there was a guy with a hatch with a ls in it on 13lb or less boost and jap had that guys motor to over 282whp when i left and he was still working with it, i bet he got it to over 290whp. and since all your bro needs is a retune he is really good with prices too.
i'm going back there tomorrow, i want to give the guy who fixed my car some more cash since i didn't have that much on me, i will get it then. or pm your number and i will call you while i am with him

I guess each dyno is different, but thats a pretty big difference between them..

yea i am but in the mean time i'm just getting it perfect, this car was made to be driven daily so i had a really safe tune on it, the power curve is so smooth. i will post it tomorrow. if someone would offer me 7k i would take it

BTW,vonrobins is the guy that fixed your car in the shop.
I showed up with him while you guys were outside,I drove the blue wrx.
The black car ended up making some good power at the boost level it was at,really surprised me.People who take TR too seriously are the REAL jokes

this guy is the man, he can fix anything and he is way cool about it, i was stuck, he could have charged me anything for the work he did, i needed it and would have payed it, but he was way nice. and didn't take advantage of me. thats more then i can say for almost all the other shops on here!

We had one tuner we had always planned to stick to, but were shopping around now. Its not even a price thing, more of a customer relations type reason.

yea if you want to feel like you are the one paying and don't want to deal with a guy who thinks he is the 2nd coming of J.C. then go here. not to mention his prices are really reasonable.
I HATE IT WHEN THE TUNER WANTS TO ACT LIKE I'M SO LUCKY AND BLESSED CAUSE THEY TOOK TIME FROM THEIR DAY to let me pay them an outrageous amount of money for a shity tune that someone else can do better with a good attitude and half the price if not more. those guys better watch out cause ONCE YOU USE JAP, YOU WONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
