Default Need Help ASAP From H/A Tech *Pics*

Well the motor assemble has been coming along great and today was the day i was going to drop it in today..Well going along i was hooking the harness up and realized that it was broke...There are pics below to show what im talking about...The wire is red with a blue stripe..Do i need it and will it fuck anything up???

knock sensor,depends on what ECM you use.

correct, thats the knock sensor. It will throw a CEL but I can't tell you if it will hurt anything or not, so far so good for mine because it has been broken for over a year. It is useful to a certain extent I suppose. The knock sensor sends a signal to the ecu and when a high enough "knock" is detected, the ecu will pull some timing. I broke the one in my civic when i installed a supercharger, been running for over a year now with no problems. If you chip your ecu and use uberdata you can disable it to get rid of the check engine light, or you can shell out the $$$ and buy a new one.

How much is a new one and im plannning on using spray but get it tuned for it....is it ok to run with out it then?

Oh yeah my ecu is chipped with a skunk2 program if that helps?
