The fender was undamaged, but it is a 97, not a 99-00. $20 for it.

I figured man, everyone wants the 99-00 stuff.
But if you buy mine you'll forever be an owner of a defining piece on the legendary cowl hooded civic. I mean this thing could turn into a collectors item, who knows how many thousands of pennies it could command at auction

Thanks cuban
The accident was caused operator error, I hit the brakes going about 85, rear tires hit a slick spot on the road and locked up; before I could even counter steer I was completely sideways. The car slid sideways into the grass, continued the spin and hit the guard rail backwards at about a 30 degree angle. The front end came around and made contact with the guard rail as the car was sliding. During the slide I hit a reflector post, which went through the rear windshield and shattered my rear lip into 3 or 4 pieces. The car came to a stop about 200 feet after the initial impact.Last edited by omgwtfbbq!; 07-03-2009 at 04:47 PM.

Yeah I'm 100%.
Couldn't sleep the night after it happened, I think the adrenaline shock upset my stomach. But I got a good 9 hours of sleep last night and nothing hurts yet. Hitting backwards was nice since my neck took no strain at all and I impacted the seat pretty evenly.

I'm not too broken up about it. Going 80 sideways through a median at night is pretty much the most fun I've ever had on a public highway.
Also something to note, despite considerable damage to the front fender and bumper, the legendary cowl hood is 100% COMPLETELY IN TACT. Not a single scratch on the thing. It will never die.
