New to TR and looking for some scion tc advice

Hey TR,
i just posted this in the newbie forum before i noticed help forum

im 17 and just got a 2005 scion tc release series (automatic :/ )
anyways im want to add some performance parts that my car will actually benefit from
just looking for some advice on where i should start like air intake exhuast headers ect.
ive read stuff that says like you wont even get noticable hp difference and stuff
what you guys think
where should i start

Help, as in Help the forum... not everyone help you... there are technical sections for each kind of car... So head down the the Toyota section and post there.
