Default Floyd is a U.S. Army Veteran and USCCA member...

Did you hear the story about Floyd yet...?

Floyd is a U.S. Army Veteran and USCCA member...

And with his army background he thought he was ready, capable, and willing to deal with any armed citizen situation...

But when 3 armed trespassers put his family's safety in jeopardy–he got a rude awakening.

Just 2 months after activating his USCCA membership, Floyd found himself in the very predicament he had joined for, but prayed he'd never have to face...

Floyd confronted the three armed scumbags with his pistol...

But when the cops finally arrived he was outnumbered 3 to 1.

Floyd was arrested.

Shortly after arriving at the police station, he was charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Firearm and tossed in a jail cell because he couldn't afford the massive bail bond that the gun-hating judge imposed on him...

The minimum sentence for those charges would be 3 years in state prison.

The minimum sentence for those charges would be 3 years in state prison.

Can you imagine how he was feeling?

Scared, angry, confused, betrayed...

Well, despite how he was feeling, Floyd was able to take a deep breath and use his one phone call to call the USCCA.

You see, because Floyd is a USCCA member, the minute we received his call, we jumped into action.

The USCCA took over and took care of everything...

We paid his bail, got him the best pro-2A attorney around, and kept his family updated the entire time.

In just two weeks, all of the charges were dropped and Floyd's attorney and bail bond fees were paid in full by the Self-Defense SHIELD...

...and he and his family were completely shielded from legal and financial ruin.

To put it in his words...

"With that one phone call to the USCCA a real crisis for me and my family was averted. My membership costing me only $13 paid for it all.

Since my experience taught me there is no way to be totally prepared for fulfilling my rights and obligations under the 2nd Amendment I came to one conclusion...

Anyone that owns a firearm in our country needs to be a member of the USCCA so they can be truly ready, capable, and willing to protect you and yours.

I am currently encouraging my friends and family to join me as a member with the USCCA and have increased my protection to the Platinum Plus level."

So, here's what it all boils down to...

If the unthinkable should happen to you, the USCCA will be there for you too...but we can't protect you like we protected Floyd if you're not a member...

Don't you think it's a good time to join forces with an organization who'll fight as hard for you as it did for Floyd?

Words + Actions = Aligned?
BY TIM SCHMIDT - USCCA FOUNDER A story out of Montana caught my attention recently.

According to Fox News, "Montana Sen. Jon Tester, a red state Democrat running for re-election in one of the closest Senate contests this year, has campaigned as a big hunting proponent, sending out mailers to voters that show him on his farm with his gun in hand. But according to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks records reviewed by Fox News, Tester hasn't had a hunting license in six years. He last had one in 2012 — the same year he was last on the ballot."

I'm typically not surprised when I learn that a politician — particularly one looking to garner votes in an upcoming election — has taken a particular stance in an effort to connect with as many people as possible. So in "Big Sky Country," where the wilderness is vast and hunting is indeed a way of life, it doesn't strike me as odd that a candidate would focus on something that is enjoyed and respected by the vast majority of the population.

But Sen. Tester seems to have portrayed himself as someone he's not. After all, it's hard to call yourself a hunter when the last time you held a license was, well, the year of your last campaign. Coincidence? Doubtful.

Fox News sent an inquiry to Tester's campaign, which "denied that the candidate has portrayed himself as someone who frequently hunts."

I'm not sure, then, what sort of message the senator was hoping to convey by holding a gun in his hands in his campaign flier. And I'm even more confused, then, by why he would say, "As we gear up for hunting season, Montanans know that hunting isn't just a sport — it feeds our families, and it creates lifelong memories with our kids and grandkids. Montanans are lucky to have some of the best access, longest seasons and greatest hunting in the world."

His use of "our" sounds pretty inclusive to me.

Bearing Arms calls Tester "a fair-weather friend to hunters and gun owners" and says he "holds up hunting as a shield, a way to pretend to be pro-gun without having to take a pro-gun stance. He doesn't alienate the DNC and the more rabidly anti-gun folks in his state, but he makes Montanans feel safe and sound."

To be honest, though, Tester's stance on firearms has been pretty clear. He "supported Sen. Dianne Feinstein's (D-CA) push for an expansion of gun control that would violate due process" following the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando in 2016, Breitbart reported.

I mention this because it's important that we remember that the Second Amendment isn't about hunting. There are plenty of folks who hunt who don't support the Second Amendment, and there are plenty of folks who don't hunt who do support the Second Amendment. We mustn't misconstrue a candidate's — any candidate, from any political party — support for hunting as support for the right to keep and bear arms.

As Tom Knighton points out, we must be wary of those "who hold up their love of hunting as a shield against criticisms that label them as anti-gun."

It's also critical that we pay close attention to the actions individuals take over time. Remember: It's easy to make sweeping claims in the short term in order to appeal to the masses. But trust is built only when there is alignment between what a person says and what he or she does.

Take care and stay safe,

Tim Schmidt
