This customer came in with his car asking us to dial in his SAFC and bring the boost up as much as we could. The car was running the Lexus AFM, 550cc injectors, an upgraded turbo (57trim wheel), and an AEM Tru-Boost gauge/controller.

He had increased boost and tried to dial in the SAFC on his own before bringing it in. After some fuel corrections, we found we had to lower boost to keep from getting into boost cut with the stock ECU.

So here's what we ended up with on that setup:


The customer wasnt satisfied with that level of power and wanted to be able to really dial in the tune. So, we set him up with an AEM EMS system complete with a 3bar MAP sensor. During tuning we were able to bring the boost up considerably and make some really good power with it. This graph really shows the difference between using band-aids like the SAFC/Lexus AFM combo and a system that allows full control over all aspects of the tune:


Since he wanted to keep using his Tru-boost controller for simplicity of use we went ahead and set him up with a boost setting similar to what we were able to run on the stock ECU..
