they some how mastered an idea from a man who in 1939 had his idea and made 100mpg on a 4500lb studebaker!,he then was offered boat loads of cash from shell oil company and sold it.....the basis of the idea was some sort of water injected carberator, and there was another patent they bought from a guy who designed a vapor engine which in fact runs on vapor....
very interesting fim

Gas doesn't even last that long lol We would have to run like AVGAS with mileage like that and heck I'd use like a half gallon tank lol

about the whole thing, yeah, I agree, we pay the price at the pump the big oil companies want us to pay....
as far as the inventions... I doubt they could get 100 mpg out of that engine/gas/car etc.
the big difference is though, that gas back in the day was a lot more volatile, meaning, the fumes, or vapor could very well have been combusted like they are saying... trying to do that with modern fuels, while still totally possible, would be much more difficult. And probably much less safe. you'd have to heat the fuel to vaporize it, then pump the vapor into a storage tank and pressurize it, and then get it into the engine.
It would basically be like running off of natural gas, so look into how city busses do that. There are some that run off of natural gas. And since it is a gas, you could then say that you got 100+ miles to the gallon because of how much gas it would take to make one liquid gallon.
As far as the water injection. Some people have done work with that. You just have to figure out how to introduce the correct amount of steam into the system at the right time, in a controlled and metered fashion. That would help "cut" the actual gasoline required, to move the car, but I doubt you would even double the MPG you are getting now.
Do some research into Piezzo style injectors. that might be something niffy as they are supposed to injector a much more vapor like spray of fuel.
