[h=2]LM24: Ricky Taylor eager to join father, brother as class winner[/h] Monday, 13 June 2016

The bar has been set high for Ricky Taylor at Le Mans. His father, Wayne Taylor, earned a class victory in 1998; his brother Jordan is a defending GTE-Pro class winner with the Corvette Racing team, and with Ricky's placement in the sister Corvette C7.R opposite Jordan this year, the Florida native could become the third Taylor to stand atop the podium at the renowned 24-hour endurance race.

Ricky (near left) won the recent IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race with Jordan at Detroit in the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP, and believes they have a great shot at continuing that success with a follow-up win in the No. 63 or No. 64 C7.Rs.
"This year, we're going in full of confidence," he said. "It's down to reliability and experience and executing on race day, and on the outside, you don't see all the little things they do that make a difference – but on the inside, you see those details, how thorough they are, and see how many times they've done this race, and it gives you all the confidence in the world. You go into Le Mans trusting in everything they've done and know they are proven winners."
The elder Taylor said that he is looking forward to seeing whether Ricky can complete a rare family sweep.
"I am extremely proud of them," he told RACER. "I really have to thank all the leaders at GM and Pratt & Miller for putting Jordan in a position to win the race last year, and now to have Ricky there with a chance. It would be incredible if all three of us were to win at Le Mans. Jordan's done a fantastic job, and now it's Ricky's turn."
