You can mount an intercooler anywhere you want as long as you pass fresh air through it.

03-01-2003 03:49 PM #18is that why they use the TMIC on the wrc subaru running 300 hp beating the hell out of it. not everything is about revving you 2 rotor to 12000 rpm for power to kick in. a tmic is really good for instant boost for things called TRQ.Originally posted by Rotary7
Oops
Well they suck on front engine vehicles
now if you look at all of the road racing cars (i forget the class, the RR super exoitcs), non of them have FMIC and few have TMIC. most of them have two sidemounted intercoolers directly behind the rear tires. getting the best possible air flow on an RR. and id think they know a little more about turboed RR or MR cars than you, with your FRIf you have three quarters, four dimes, and four pennies, you have $1.19. You also have the largest amount of money in coins without being able to make change for a dollar.

You dont have to rev a boosted rotary to 12k to get power,
Rotarys came with a TMIC,The FMIC shows improved performance, and its not like you get get a TMIC upgrade.
Wtf fuck is RR,MR,FR
Rear engine?
Mid engine?
Front engine?
I guess your dumb ass didnt read, didnt know it was a rear mount engine,That would explain WHY it was a TMIC,I see no reason for a TMIC on a front mount engine,
And cause its a TMIC that dont mean you get instant boost,Yes its a shorter distance for the air to flow,BUT 99% of the work is still done by the Turbo and that depends how fast you get your boost (Spool speed)

you also get to keep your AC with TMIC
now for you calling me a dumbass then i guess youre just plain retarded if you dont know what FF, RR, MR, or FR means.
front engine/FWD
Rear engine/RWD
Mid-engine/RWD
Front engine/RWD
i wonder, how does the Mid engine/AWD cars compete. If you have three quarters, four dimes, and four pennies, you have $1.19. You also have the largest amount of money in coins without being able to make change for a dollar.

i did read it and you said nothing about the drive train.
oh and a lotta cars that werent turboed that have the conversion with an FMIC have to get rid of the AC.Last edited by buck19; 03-01-2003 at 05:03 PM.

I wouldnt doubt it,
If I wasnt worried keeping my car clean and close to stock look ..I would rip out the A/C for reasons also,I guess im just going to have to spend the cash and keep the stock A/C unit in and fix whats needed and keep the R12 set up,Unless have to change over 50% of the system then im going with 134a
