    I'm serious, if the stock block can handle more (if this is what I understand by skiiming over the facts I have), then why did they choose 390 or whatever it is over, say, 450hp if that can be achieved with no more work that just a smaller pulley? They would sell more cars, I know how the domestic car guys measure their their manliness by the amount of hp their cars makes, not concerned about anything else.

    most people wont want to buy a 700hp car......there wouldnt be a competetive market for other cars, there wont be an aftermarket, there will be people killing themselves in it.....the government would have a say in it, i gaurantee you.....

    Sorry for asking a simple question. I just think they could increase some more, and take every potential Corvette buyer. In essence, this is the only competition from Ford to the Corvette. I don't think they need to bump it to 700, but maybe 430 or something.

    I guess it's my love of BMW and Porsche who build and sell engines to their near full potential. The only problem I see is faster wear and tear and more constant rebuilds.

    I seriously doubt a cobra motor in 700hp trim will last for 36k miles, car manufacturers have to offer decent warranties ya know
