because the rustang was only 27K and already traps higher than the STi stock..
that and i was tired of having to drive the WRX hard to get any power out of it..
i will build a Subaru that in my opion will oook better and be faster than the STi.. but not till next year..
cant wait to see the Sti gettin around though..

is the 13.3 a japanese STi time? im interested to see what it does when they get here...if its still a 13.3, more power to subaru. seems like too often that some speed get lost in the trip over however....does the subaru weigh less and/or have more power than the EVO 8? I cant remember off hand if those specs were released for the US version yet...
Personally, im eager to see how it competes. Obviously im slightly Mitsu biased but id take an EVO 7 over an EVO 8 ten times outta ten...im just not a fan of the new bodywork and simplified diff setup. I like the look of the new STi inside and out alot more than the current WRX , or EVO8 for that matter.
Post some STI specs if ya got em

As far as I knew (I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong), the new (and the USDM) STi will be a 2.5L Turbo engine, rather than the 2.0L that was in last generation - so it should be pretty impressive.
