I worked the GP all weekend, and i can tell you there were no mazda powered cars. there were 4 classes this weekend and all of them required the EXACT same motor to be in each of the cars except for the trans am race. First there was Fran-Am which required all the cars to run a motor based off of the renault clio (a mid engine RWD hatch from france). the next series was the skip barber dodge series which required that all the cars run a motor based off of a dodge intrepid. then there was the BIG GUYS the Champ cars (C.A.R.T.) they all had turboed V8's spec built by Ford Cosworth. and finally there were the trans am cars, that ran carbed v8's from each of their respective motor company's (there were vettes, mustangs, and jaguars, each running a carbed v8 from their make.)
