haha.. not impressed.. he ran a 14.1 with 15 psi on a boost controller.. lol.. WRX's do the 14.1 stock.. although MPH is lower..
WRx with a boost controller is right around there (cept for mine. lol)
i dunno.. the SRT-4 doesnt really do much for me.. neither does the EVO VIII .. both nice attempts a decade too late and a few HP short..hehe
LONG LIVE SUBARU !
Sti gonna PWN j00 ALL !!!

So you mean to tell me, this kid paid 20K for a Dodge Neon, making 15 POUNDS of BOOST! and only ran a 14.1? He spent $300 to make it accomplish that?!? Whoa...that is damn impressive.

c'mon
im say noting its the fastest freaking car made, but damn, in the other thread Zate said, show me real #'s, and he got real #'s.
98MOD: I don't think he had to get the boost controller to get those #'s. I really dont see his point in doing that before doing a base run. , but then again, he's not the birghtest crayon in the box
My point is and was , UNDER $20K,
Subaru will run the same and cost 23K, EVO VIII, costs 28K, and wil run a 14.2, 0-60 4.6,
So Im still getting one, bang for my buck.

Subaru comes with AWD and is only a 2.0L
dont get me wrong . .Neon is a beast for what it is.. and its gonna suprise some people.. but.. i'm not impressed

Re: c'mon
I agree, he should have ran a baseline without the controller. He probably would have ran just as fast. For those who are not familiar with the SRT-4 ECU's, they have a kind of wacky boost scheduling thing going on, constantly varying boost to produce flat torque and hp curves.Originally posted by cali

I am still trying to get over having to run 15lbs and only getting a 14sec ET out of the deal.

Especially when everyone quotes the 13 second stock times touted in mags. Granted every car, driver, and track are different, and that is still pretty impressive, but I like putting the Neon boys in their place too

That's actually pretty good for everything except for pulling a 1/4 mile run.Originally posted by mpbiv
