I go to school with this PR chick whos father is in the military. On Thursday she told me that in mid-march she would be importing a Mitsu Evo VII. My BS flag went up imediatly. She starts talking about the right side drive STI (or is it stx?) WRX, which i said she was full of it, but she produced pics of it with her driving that were lagit. Anyway, since her dad has the hook up in Japan with the car and on the import/dock fees shes buying the GS, right side drive version for 7,000. Is this possible?

Sure, you can buy one.....but getting it street legal and able to be registered here will cost a pretty penny.....I've heard 20-25k minimum. So, yes, she could be having one brought here, but I wouldn't plan on seeing it in the school parking lot.

That would tweak my BS detector too.

Just cause she might have been overseas and gotten some cool pics of herself in a JDM car does not mean that her dad will ever manage to get one on the road here in the US.

No, there are other parked cars in the pic and the plates of the other cars were all south carolina, just like the WRX, they also had some wicked pics of her autoxing the car

you can only have the car here 12 months.. then it must be returned.. or crushed.. unless a FULL conversion ios done.. including crash tests on two other cars which must then be crushed..

read up on what Motorex went through to legally be able to crush skylines..

and if she babbles crap about being able to afford it.. bull shit.. even Bill Gates couldnt get a 959 legitamised..

After looking at the 959 pic it appears that model uses the same window glass as the 911 and 930.

Hell, even the doors look identical.

The only thing the military will do is ship the car for her dad for free, well one of the cars for free if they shipping more than one..I have looked into this when and if I get sent overseas

, not worth the pain in the ass.
