    technology for the 959 was way ahead of its time. The reason for the ridiculous price tag is because they are extremely rare and it is an extrememly desirable car to own.......piece of automotive history. id take one. they are fucking awesome.

    that might have been the comfort model, i think the sport model was more like this:

    0-60mph: 3.6 seconds
    0-100: 8.3
    0-125: 12.7
    0-140: 19.0
    0-1/4 mile: 11.8s @119 mph

    I know a guy who brought back 2 First gen RX7s (Savannahs) back in the late 80s Hes got either 2/1979 or 1/1979-- 1/1980

    He had them converted over to US dot approval specs,he said when he got them here it was easier than if tring it now.They are both still RHD and 1 is being driven on the street.


    He got them over when he was stationed out there in the military (Japan)
