Some theorists are saying that gas prices are being kept artificially low until after the elections
so current washington politicians won't face back lash for policies they created. Some people are saying that by Friday or later, prices will rise. If it continues to be cold enough up north and demand for fuel oil stays high, gas prices will drop in the South.

3 November, gas was 2.75 to 2.79 on Park Blvd in Pinellas. Last night it was 2.74 at a WAWA on Ulmerton Road close to
where the Dupont meet is held. Walmart was priced at 2.76 on US19 and Park Blvd.

Gas was 2.81 across from Home Depot, South of Gandy at two stations on the opposite side of the street.
Although prices may have dropped by this morning.

5 November On Westshore Blvd North of Gandy close to Green Iguana gas was 2.80
A lot of Park Blvd plus WAWA on Bay Pines Blvd 2.78 and 2.79
Racin gas at 49th/Park Blvd was 2.75
Walmart at US19 North of Park Blvd was 2.76 with at least 5 cents off with a Walmart card.

7 NOV On Westshore Blvd North of Gandy close to Green Iguana gas went down to 2.78
At SR54 and Rowan/SR77 was the CHEAPEST! at 2.66 at a very small station on the South side of the street.
At Little Road and SR54 it was 2.67
WAWA at US19 and SR54 it was 2.73


Last night a lot of SR 52 was 2.75
Flying J at I75 was 2.89
At Fort King and Clinton, Dade City, it was 2.84

2.75 at the Hess beside Tarpon Springs High School. I know that because I went to
the beach concert and bonfire. The announcer said there were about 1,000 people.
Not all of them were members of Tampa Racing.
We hope to keep the same sponsors on board and tentatively the concerts will crank up
again 12 February 2015, If it is still cold, we may start the year with another bonfire.

As I got down into Pinellas, Walmart near US19 and Park had dropped to 2.74. It was still
at 2.74 when I filled again this afternoon.

The cheapest price I saw today was 2.70 at 86th Ave and 131st st in Seminole, Pinellas.
Same corner as the high school...good news for the kids with a DL.

I'm in Daytona right now and cheapest so far is 2.80/gal.
In Kissimmee at Racetrack across from the Old Town car show, gas was 2.79

People don't know how lucky they are by living in the Bay Area.

Some theorists are saying that as it get colder up north and they consume
more fuel oil, that gas prices may fall even more down south. Others are saying that it
probably will go up slightly just a few days before families drive to grandma's
for thanksgiving dinner.

This morning Nov 17 I saw 2.71 at Walmart/US19 near Park Blvd....and 5 cents off that with a Walmart credit card.
Most of Pk blvd was at 2.74
Some people say that gas will jump quickly X number of days before Thanks Giving.

This is what some people are saying as a long term. Maybe gas has not been low enough, long enough

Eight States Where Gas Will Drop Below $2
The media are pretty quick to give you something to stress about, such as $5 gas by Christmas (even when prices were falling)
The same experts are pretty slow to stop by with good news.

Experts have already begun to mention the chance that the average price for a gallon of regular gas will drop below $2 in some parts of America. There are several states where this is highly likely. As a matter of fact, the prices in these states could drop below $2 as early are the start of next year

Most of the states likely to post sub- $2 gas have three things in common. These are the general drop in oil prices, proximity to large refineries, and low state gas taxes.
The first among these has already begun to have an out-sized influence. Oil has fallen below $66. Just five days ago, the price was nearly $80. In late June, it was close to $100. If oil stays below $70, it could knock $.20 to $.30 off the average price of a regular gallon of gas nationwide by itself, if the evidence of the last month as an indication. Over that period, the price of gas nationwide has dropped from $3.03 to $2.79, according to Gasbuddy.
The eight states were gas prices are likely to fall below $2 are Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Missouri, and Tennessee.
Several of these are either on the Gulf of Mexico or states adjacent to ones that are. Each already has gas prices below $2.60. In all but one, the price has continued to fall over the last several days.
Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, and Louisiana are directly on the Gulf of Mexico and close to the large refineries in Texas, which, taken together, are among the biggest block of refineries in the world. Oklahoma and Tennessee border at least one of these four states. So, each has the advantage that among the variable costs of gasoline is the distance it must travel from refineries to retailers.

Finally, state gas tax rates have a profound affect on total gas prices. An illustration of this is that the state with the third highest gas tax is New York where it is $.50. New York also has the third highest gas price in the U.S. at $3.18. The two state where gas prices are higher are distant from supply–Alaska and Hawaii
According to the Tax Foundation, last year, South Carolina had the 47th highest gas tax among all states at $.168. Oklahoma was 46th at $.17. Missouri was 45th at $.173. Mississippi was 44th at $.188. Louisiana was 38th at $.20
Gas prices in eight states should be below $2 within a few months.
