Headlight Retrofiting Shops?
Hey I couldn't really find anything here around the forum, but are there anyone here local that can retrofit headlights. I want to retrofit my 07 Honda civic si coupe and didn't want to have to send my headlights out to VA or NY to get them retrofitted. Anything would help thanks guys. - pedro

Pedro,
When you get the parts that you want retrofitted, get back with me by PM.
We should talk. I have done conversions before.-Bob---- on-site *Aftermarket* spring/suspension installations --- on-site impact wrenching---street lowering with your own stock springs...........

I could help you out...it's a fairly simple process. Just need some long bolts/nuts/lock washers/washer/an oven and a few other things here and there. Takes patience as well. Do you have the parts already?

I just pulled apart 3 headlights recently. I bought a cheap one from craigslist to practice on and then started my project.....really easy if you don't try to yank them apart but just slowly separate them. As for the new components going in, that I will have to wait and see when I get the rest of the parts....

You can put the headlight in the oven for a little bit to warm up the glue or whatever and pull it a part safely. I don't remember the actual procedure to pull a part the head lights since I haven't done it in almost 10 years but if you go to New Edge Cougar Owners - Mercury Cougar News you should find a DIY thread on how to take a part headlights without damaging them.

200 degrees for 8-10 minutes. slowly separate them and put back in the oven for 1-2 minutes if the adhesive starts to get cold again. I used two putty knifes to separate them with a slow steady twist.

Skip the tsx and s2k projectors. Go with a bolt in setup to make your life easier. These have great output and can be done without chopping up your headlight.
