Good point, if OP has 20k cash, damn I could build a hell of a car. 20k spending limit, id buy a stock car, not meaning spend all 20k if you dont have to. and use the money saved if youre making payments and mod it to your desire. Im sure most of us have learned from buying previously modded cars, unless of course you know the cars history.

I would pass on an sti and jsut get a wrx for cheap, drop the rest into it.. Or if you don't have 20k sitting on the desk, I would start looking at new cars with warranties..

my plan on a good reliable fast car straight out of the gate and responds very well to mods would be the car i got. get a 1st gen of the cts-v's. i have an ls6 4 door rwd stick all luxury and beat most of the cars out there stock.

Purchasing a high mile European car isn't the best of ideas unless you aren't scared of the high dollar maintenance items that are going to be coming to you sooner rather than later.
