was it scotty's or builder's square? or both? was a good venue for low speed guys learning, hardly ever got messed with.
the streetheat meet was actually spawned because of the downfall of the miami subs and then the van dyk abandoned theater shows, and the increasingly crappier people going to the bearss meet...ken was nice enough to open his shop area, and had a small area to park so it was just 20-30 TR folk and no one else came around. even that got old...in a way, we almost missed seeing the idiots, so many of us started meeting at the bearss meet, but far back in the lot by ourselves and watched the retards out front do stupid stuff.
basically the older guys/classic cars moved their show and the domestics went with them. then the more elite imports (read: faster/nicer) followed and those of us who were civil. that would be good for a few weeks and then the ricers found us and ruined it within a month. is what it is.

Wow, Burger King. Used to be one of my favorite meets.... Next to Sonic on hillsborough, that was always entertaining. And QSL was a great meet too. Like its been said over and over again, its the morons that ruin these meets. Its a shame, I had some really awesome times at those places.

Don't forget the Setzers show on Sat nights in the BK parking lot near the Target in Northdale. This was around the time of birth for TR when T.A.P.C.A split into 2 sites TR and Badrap. Then many of us used to drive from there down to Miami Subs. Setzers show had all types of cars and there was very little idiots around. Back when Gandy was thriving with races and little to no cops.
Those days are gone and will never come back unfortunately.

It's dumb his the cops would kick you out. It's better to have you guys there than street racing???ALSO about sonic there was one guy who owned about 23 in the Tampa area that went through a nasty divorce so he was forced to shut down ALL of his Sonics and maybe this was one of them?

Crazy that Sonic went out of business.

Roque Fab = The best Fabricator in the WHOLE WORLD

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

Wow!!! I have since moved out of that area, but I remember when I stayed in Oldsmar that was the place. My first meet with FLNECO took place there in 2004 and after the parking area was full we cruised out to Gandy. Good Times!!! Crazy how that place has closed..haven’t been over that way in awhile. Last time I was over that way I had seen Whata Burger had shut down, but Sonic? What’s the world coming to LOL !!!
