Hi to Tamparacing,&nbsp;<br>Big fan of your work with them 2jz swap, I was just wondring if it is possible to do a 2jz swap with an auto trans or a 6 speed shift on my 84 el camino? I have a 383 stroker in it and i think it is damn slow , so i was wondring before i buy parts or do anything could this be done, would the drive shaft have to be cut? how would it work with a grand national posi thinking to send my truck to you guys.

Had to know that was coming lol... Thats a 2JZ Swap with NAS though, must be crazy fast! Elcamino would fall apart with all that.

You want to stick a Toyota set up in a classic Camino. Go big( v8 ) or go home. Stick a 350, keep the 383, or a put a 402 in that beast, build it with supreme power and call it a day. Not a 2JZ. A 2JZ does not belong in a classic car like that.

Which 383 stroker you got? If you want more power build them. The 2jz is around 220 HP.

I highly doubt he'd be wanting to swap in a stock 2jz, and the GTE motors make ~300hp from factory.

If he already has a 383 stroker in there might as well build that puppy up for more HP. If he hasn't done anything to it that is.

that fucking turd is nowhere near a classic....if thats classic i passed by 2 real gems that looked just like it in the trailer park yesterday. 2j is more like 320hp factory. still a stupid fucking idea though. heres some useful feedback, trade that camino for some meth and continue living the dream.
