Why do all VW's hold their interior scent so well ?? I've been to the junkyard before and stuck my head in a gutted VW only to be hit with that oh so familiar smell... that only VW HAS!!

That's one honest answer ! If it's at the dealer , or if its at a junkyard with no doors and 15 years old.... They smell the same! I haven't noticed this with any other brand.. you can blindfold me and put me in 100 cars , I'll tell you which 1 is the VW.

I used to buy them to export for a friend and ive been through a lot, they all have it lol Your right even older blazers have them. Maybe its the glues they use for the dash's

Its the shitty dyes they use on the plastics. BMW's use the same stuff I'm sure. I hate the stuff, it looks decent when you first buy the car but it wears away to fast and ends up looking like crap.

Lol... I know the smell.. my Vw bug had it as well.. Along with the interior loving to fall apart on its own.
