Car alarm question
didn't really know where to post this so right here will do.
So i just got my hatch a few weeks ago & it has a factory alarm but for some odd reason has no alarm or siren, just the lights flash. "how pointless of honda"
Was just wondering if anyone with Car alarm experience knows a way i could hard wire a alarm into it...if its even possible.

That doesn't sound right; the horn wiring might just be deteriorated. It's probably as simple as reconnecting the horn wiring to the factory system, but you will need the schematics.

Search for the owners manual of the car online, and read up about how all the features work, it should describe the alarm to you in better detail, and that should help you diagnose what the problem is.

What do you mean it has no alarm or siren? Does it have the box in the engine bay? If it does you might have a simple problem.
1. I had this issue with my Cougar. The clockspring went bad in the steering wheel which stopped my fog lights, cruise control and horn to stop working. My horn wouldn't work either for the alarm .When I replaced it, it fixed the problem with the horn. I'm not saying your car has the same problem as my cougar, but it could be something to look into.

Sounds like the wires to the horn got cut or are bad like someone suggested. Its a pain in the ass though because you have to follow the line to find the break.

Does the horn work when you push the button on the steering wheel?
Also I had a alarm do that on my accord.. ended up being a aftermarket/dealer installed alarm. that was all wonky from age.
