the only time the engine papers are an issue is should your car ever get impounded, they check the vin on the engine through the theft database.... I know this for a fact since it happened to someone I knew that bought a swapped car and when they got pulled over for "street racing" and got impounded, they discovered the engine was stolen....

i call bs on cops not caring...maybe down here in fl, but up north I have many friends who were pulled over and cops ran the vins off of the engine on the spot.

Removal of vins from engine? Lol kidding.. Really I have never ever had the police even make me open my hood on any of the cars I have owned. swapped or not.
shit I have been driving around a truck that has 0 vins on it. never get looked at twice.. gotta love florida..

Why would this be BS? We have no inspections in FL. We also don't have random inspections. Cops don't pull you over here also and start measuring the height of your ride, checking the clearance, etc.. etc.. If you get pulled over and car impounded then they might do a deep check on the vehicle.

PCSO doesnt care either about engine vin. now if its in a chop shop well thats a different story or your a known felon dealing in stolen property, especially auto theft.

Not here in FL, unless you have a car that dosnt have a clean title I wouldnt worry about it. Now if you had a bike I would say you will get caught here in fl because they do check bike engines vins at every meet

No I get pulled over every night with my custom bike at bike fest in daytona, and the local quaker so the cops can take a quick look at my vins. My frame is powdercoated so they check me everytime. I dont chill with thieves

That's funny because I never got asked by a cop to check my bike, and I know plenty of my friends never had that experience.
