Outdated Simpson 5 points
I've got two sets. Free to whoever wants to come pick them up. I'm required to update belts every two years even if there is nothing wrong with them, which there never is but racing has to bilk as much as they can out of their customers so they force us to buy new belts every two years. /rant.
Anyway, shoot me an email if you want them. I'm in Tampa Original Carrollwood.Chuck

Chuck how do you feel about the new Hans device ruling coming up for Solo with the SCCA? A lot of guys aren't happy due to the price but understand the safety.
Sending you a PM on these.if you can only race me in a straight line then whats the point

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then youll go faster period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster. the late Tom Thrash SCCA Solo E Production

Greed, pussies, lawyers and the government killing the auto racing pasttime. These pussies tout that "no expense too great for safety" bullshit. The hell there isn't. Eventually a line of diminishing returns is crossed and it was crossed a long time ago. A driver straps himself in with so much bullshit these days it's a wonder he can even drive the damn car.
Can you believe 5-points are no longer acceptable? Gotta be 6-points. Like one more sub belt is gonna make any fucking difference.
And what's with that stupid fucking right side driver net? Are they fucking kidding. WTF good is that bullshit?
Thankfully there are numerous organizations and some of them aren't as strict about it. Those are the ones that are gonna get my money.Chuck

Luckily for me I have close ties to get a Hans device and my neighbor encouraged me to get one because plain and simple they work. But for SCCA, Solo is simply an AutoX event correct? The airports, parking lots, cones and what not course? If there is nothing to hit why is that a necessity? Even in the event of a crash most courses even with high powered lots of grip cars they aren't going all that fast compared to say a HPDE at Daytona, Sebring, Homestead... and those have actual barriers along with other cars to potentially hit. WTF where can I find out more about that.

Chuck - one of the reasons I went to Crow Enterprises for their harness is because of their rewebbing service.
Quick and relatively cheap.
livermore performance carries them
I gotta admit I feel naked without my HANS on the track - but autocross? Seriously?"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough horsepower"
