Anyone seen the Ayerton Senna Film?
Supposedly this movie was a hit at the Sundance Film Festival.
I heard this was released to a limited number of theaters about a week ago.
Anyone know where?
For those who may not be fans of Formula One, Ayrton Senna was three time
World Champion before he died at 34. Some people say he was the best there
has ever been.
Supposedly there is a lot of good race footage,
both on track as well as behind the scenes video. ....including his move from fifth
place to first place in one lap of a rain-soaked European Grand Prix.
Asif Kapadia was the film director if that matters. Thanks.-Bob
BTW.......F1 is a car.......talking about a car movie is car chat......this is
a forum for car chat in general.---- on-site *Aftermarket* spring/suspension installations --- on-site impact wrenching---street lowering with your own stock springs...........

Senna Opens Sept 26, 2011
Sundance Film Festival Audience Award Winner!

“Real life eclipses fiction in delivering a tale that combines heroism, villainy, suspense and a surprising amount of emotional resonance.” - Bruce Demara, Toronto Star
“As immersive as documentaries get.” - Matt Singer, IFC.com
"Senna is a documentary with the pace of a thriller, a story of motors and machines that is beyond compelling because of the intensely human story it tells.” – Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times
“A viscerally exciting and intellectually stimulating documentary.” – Philip French, Guardian (UK)
At a Glance: Spanning his years as a Formula One racing driver from 1984 to his untimely death a decade later, Senna explores the life and work of the triple world champion, his physical and spiritual achievements on the track, his quest for perfection and the mythical status he has since attained.
Brazilian Formula One racing legend Ayrton Senna's remarkable story, charting his physical and spiritual achievements on the track and off, his quest for perfection, and the mythical status he has since attained, is the subject of Senna, a documentary feature that spans his years as an F1 driver, from his opening season in 1984 to his untimely death a decade later. Far more than a film for F1 fans, Senna unfolds a remarkable story in a remarkable manner, eschewing many standard documentary techniques in favor of a more cinematic approach that makes full use of astounding footage—much of which is drawn from F1 archives and previously unseen. Directed by Asif Kapadia.
