Need some input on spoon
I'm old school honda started when i was 17 now im 29. I thought i was ready to stop building hondas until i found out this morning i qualify to become a SPOON dealer. with that being said everyone knows that spoon is very expensive but hands down worth every penny and my ? to everyone on here is,is spoon parts something shops and consumers would like to have access to in the tampa bay area or should i say forget it cause theres not to many people that can afford it. i would really like to hear feed back from shops and consumers.

Thanks for the info. i figure it might have to come to that but man the videos and demos the SPOON REP SHOWED ME was insane i have a whole new respect for spoon. he showed a spoon b16 in second gear holding 11,000 rpm without shifting on suzuka course and the motor showed no sign of stress. Guess ima try those brands you mention and see if i can keep spoon on the back burner.

take what ever you can get. wider variety the larger sales market you will reach...as for spoon you really have to think about what the age range that is in the area and their average income level to invest. Unless i just have not been following it close enough but it seems the import scene has pretty much hit a plateau and not as big of a "blow up" as it was 8-12 yrs ago.

these days most people are more concerned with the bottom line price than the quality and R&D that went into it. Real gear heads that appreciate Spoon stuff and that can afford it, are not so plentiful.

These jdm faggots would rather buy a whale penis intake, or an ebay ramhorn turbo manifold for their single cam that will never be anything but an oil leaking pos, than ever even wondering why their cars still aren't fast...because they spend more money on weed and alcohol than actual real parts. Ofcourse thats just a majority of them, some people actually have brains and build their hondas right. You'll lose out horribly dealing with spoon. Start vending out ebay cold air intakes and $25 coilovers and you'll be a rich man.

Not so plentiful checking in. I'm a genuine OEM Honda, Spoon Sports, and TODA Racing whore. You know you have purchased TODA or Spoon parts and the retail on your exhaust is $2,000. I'm all about support the innovator not the imitator. As far as getting into business it is best in something like Skunk2 or Blox, now days people don't care about quality or serious R&D but rather bling. Buying high dollar real parts is the only way I see myself separating myself from the pack. Replica stuff and cheap priced parts are where the market is, why buy a $1200 header when the replica for $400 makes the same power? I wish I could think like that but again I'm all about supporting the innovator not the imitator.

*cough* bullshit *cough*
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

LOL @ fox
i would agree with everyone else and say that being affiliated with SPOON would be very reputable and badass, but you wont make any money on it...you're better dealing with the cheaper companies cuz everyone's on a budget build these days

I wanna thank everyone for there input all have been rep. Very valid points from everyone. Me and my father own a shop thats been open for 27+ years straight and i dont have to sell performance parts to make money,we make plenty just from body work and general autiomotive repair. reason for me saying this is because that would let sell performance parts a lil cheaper than any store in the area. If or when i get this situated i will let everyone know and ima see if i can get my shop posted in the shop section
