Anyone know a cheap locksmith that can make transponder chip keys?
Looking for a decent price on getting a copy of a transponder key for my auto. It's an 08 Mitsubishi Galant ES. Cheapest i've found was on craigslist for 50 bucks. Found the blank keys on ebay for like 13 bucks but don't know if a locksmith will program those for me or try to get me to buy his......either way if anyone can help pls lmk. Thanks.

my father in law had to get a key made for his old lumina. it was one of those stupid chip keys.
he paid just shy of 100 bucks for his key.
maybe stop being a cheap ass and pay the 50 bucks for the key?

Get the key done right the first time so you don't run in to problems. Go to the dealer.

I may have to just do that. Dealership is well over 150 though. Found a locksmith that does a full replica, fully programmed that has the unlock buttons on the remote and all for just 200. I may have to go that route. The regular chip key so the doors can be unlocked and car started with no buttons on them is about 50-80 respectively.
