There are a couple of things you can try yourself to remove a stripped bolt. First spray it with some penetrating oil, this well help reduce the amount of torque needed to remove the bolt. Also, applying heat with a propane torch will help to free a stuck bolt. After you've sprayed some penetrating oil I would try a set of vice grips or a bolt out set if you can get it around the head of the torx. If you don't have enough clearance around the bolt to get vice grips you could also try welding an Allen wrench to the bolt, I've done this with success a couple of times. Best of luck, hopefully you can get the bolt free.

For future referance easy outs dont work to well on moderate to large size bolts. They work well on low torque screws and small hardware, In the event you need to use a easy out tho as a last ditch effort drill the head off the bolt to release the tension on the bolt and then you can focus on only breaking the threads loose. In some cases this allows you to remove the part that was attached by the stuck hardware and you can get to the shank of the bolt with vice grips. Also Aerocroil or PB blaster should have been used so that way all efforts have been exhausted before screwing it up too much.

Also buy yourself a left handed drill bits and in some cases the bite will force the bolt to loosen its self up while drilling, Because when you drill a bolt you are heating it up so that the metal expands and then tightening it a little more and it makes it more of a pain in the ass to remove and will break your easy out...

And a last tip for bolts that are larger then 7/16's shank diameter you can drill with a left handed bit, tap it in left handed thread, and get a 5/16-3/8 left hand bolt and tighten it down and now that your head of the bolt has been removed and the stretching tension on the bolt is gone and be able to break it free.

Im not a fan of "blammers"... Im a Aviation metal smith and dislike them as people at work will grab one and go nuts and destroy anchor nuts and make the job that much tougher (same principal with threads as well)... Also it can cause distortion to the piece your trying to or are removing from if its not beefy enough or made from aluminum... Plus you get to a certain point where your hand cannot grasp the blamer tight enough and loosen the part, A blammer really only works well with screws tho as ive not had them work on bolts to well.

Anti-seize is your friend when putting things back together and making sure you follow torque specs properly instead of the German standard.

A pic would help. EZ Outs work well if used correctly. Most people pound the thing in there like a 10-penny nail in a 4x4, or they don't drill the right size hole or deep enough. All of which exacerbates the problem. The trick is to gently tap the EZ Out while putting just a little torq on it. And some good penetrating fluid is a smart move.

Unless they've changed the formula this is the best penetrating fluid in the world. I've got a can from 25 years ago that I still have confidence in. Amazing, the label is still exactly the same as my 25 year old can.

and you cut out the floor to access the bolt already?

What's it to? (I understand the Jeep Cherokee part) Have you got the other bolts out? Depending on how buggered it is - You might be able to cut a slot into it and get it with an impact driver? or just grind the whole thing off?

If that doesn't work - then have it towed to a professional.
