Will Florida ever have emissions testing again (or atleast in the next few years)?
Like the title says, will this state have emissions testing again, or anytime soon (next few years)? I know we had emissions a few years ago, and with other states doing emissions/vehicle inspections and shit, are we going to have to deal with that shit?

I hope so, I'm sick and tired of hearing faggots with their loud ass exhausts.

it cost too much money, at the moment... would be my opinion on it.
(part of the reason why cali is so broke ass, if they had elimnated carb or whatever its been estimated they would be just about out of debt...)daily

Emissions went away in like 98 or 99....I used to work there. I doubt they will bring it back, at least I hope they don't. Cars today burn way too clean to fail, even older cars (90's) burn way cleaner than the clunkers that used to pull thru there. The amount of cars that fail would probably be so minimal that it wouldn't even make an ounce of difference in our air quality. If the government wants to really make a difference they should be regulating the amount of toxins being spewed by all the big rigs and dump trucks racking up 200,000 miles per year, I see those things spew mushroom clouds in the air thru every gear.

You're fucking ignorant if you think emissions solves that problem. I run open downpipe and I still pass emissions with flying colors. It's all about who you know. Besides, if I didn't have someone like that, I'd do like everyone else does, and keep my stock exhaust, and slap it on a week before, get my test done, and take it off the following day.
Most likely you will see this.
A lot of new cars still fail here in GA. They actually are pretty strict in the parameters that need to be met to "Pass". It's stupid and just another dumbass thing I have to do each year to keep my car on the road.

Safety inspections would be nice. There are a ton of cars that the county/state should not allow for use on the roads (i.e. idiots with jacked up trucks, toolbags with 195 width tires stretched on a 10" wide rim, shitty retrofit HID kits, etc)

Last year of emissions in florida was 99, I was 17 and passed with an 83 mercury grand marquis with a 69 boss 302. Car had a 4 barrel carb and fuel injection emblems on the fenders and still passed the sniffer. It took me 30 seconds to adjust my carb for emissions. Emissions will come back someday to florida.
Old schooler.
