Just FYI...after owning a tacoma for a few years...I wouldnt take another late model toyota if you gifted it to me with T,T,& T paid. Every time something happens to that truck and we take it in under warranty we hear the same crap "it's normal"....it's normal for the clutch to smoke during a very average engagement, it's normal for the door checkers to short out, it's normal for it to get stuck in four wheel drive...just find a hill to roll down backwards while you switch it back to 2H, it's normal for the battery to die twice a year, it's normal for the truck to vibrate like a washing machine on spin cycle with a cinder block in it during braking. it's normal for the speedometer to be off by 7-15mph (didnt change tire size), it's normal for the dash lights to blink out on half the insutrment panel occasionally...and the list goes on...fuck toyota imhoLast edited by Evol-Eagle-96; 01-14-2011 at 06:28 AM.

Basically it's a lil over 4 years old and seems to be falling apart. Doors have rubbed into the dash. Tranny is slipping. Battery constantly is an issue, a few jumps and a replacement. Goes through belts like crazy. Brakes screech all the time even when you put on new pads n rotors and flush the system. constantly get a cel for it running lean and there is nothing to show it is running lean. dome light has never worked. but it's paid for and gets good gas mileage so it will do till we get ready to buy a bigger car, not a toyota.
