Lets talk about your cars ...

Ok, looking for a couple things here.. But first, please don't break off into tangents about things with others vehicles, if you have an argument put it in another thread. Thanks!

    1. List your daily driver, and your #1 project vehicle.

    2. Tell us what you like the most, and dislike the most about each vehicle. I'm going to try to keep mine short. I don't want to make you read a parts list , just generic reasoning

If your daily is your project... I guess just call it your Daily Project

    Like this.

Daily Driver - 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Hemi 4x4
Like - It does everything a truck is supposed to do, plus it's comfortable and dependable. Just turned 93k miles.

Dislike - Everything on it is stupid expensive. (I thank God it's been dependable!)

Project Car - 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 Hatchback
Like - Plenty of aftermarket, and it will never go out of style.

Dislike - Not only is it a Ford, it has 80's technology and engineering from bumper to bumper

My wifes Daily - 2002 P71 Corwn victoria
Like - Dependable , power , roomy , safe and comfortable.

Dislike - changing the valve cover gaskets (another Ford! )

Likes: Great accel, handling (amazing chassis), 25+mpg, ac, heated seats, convertible, rare to see kinda, 2 seater (no one asking rides besides the wife) reliable, easy to work on, cheap OEM parts, plenty of aftermarker support and love the manual top that can never have a faulty motor.

Dislikes: not the best seats, Clutch Delay valve that the car comes with, plastic clutch pedal, Small wheel base, small front brakes, slow 130rwhp stupid small things break but usually easy to fix, car makes me appear gay to my fellow TR brothers and my damn soft top is currently still ripped. And all these things dont bug me much, but take its toll on my on long trips.

Likes: Its gonna be fun with a 20v blacktop

Dislikes: It wont be done untill forever

    Likes:

-almost everybody thinks its a 316 what brings alot of fun xD
-comes with ALL the OEM M-Technic bodyparts + has very rare color and interieur parts
-awesome DD, quite comfortable with all the mods, heated seats for winter, AC & sunroof for summer
-makes a nice sound and has a decent top speed for its power.

    Dislikes:

-front axle construction, like almost every E36 it has that stupid steering wheel whobble at 62mph+ , replaced tons of parts, nothing helps

-performance on race tracks could be better, still got alot of understeer but don't want spacers to get more negative camber....tie

-OEM bushings wear out really quick and the power windows mechanism tends to break

Daily Driver - 2006 Chevy truck
Like - It's a truck. It was cheap. Regular cab. Full bed. Not a whole bunch of bells and whistles. It's red. Most importantly, it pulls my race car.

Dislike - It's a Chevy. Little stupid shit was wrong from the beginning. Taillight lens was loose. Roof leaked. A/C #5 setting stopped blowing. Heater/AC dash control backlight went out. Passenger side speaker doesn't work. Change oil indicator pretends to be smart and to tell me when to change the oil but isn't smart enough to know that I changed it. It's an automatic. Stupid plastic phony hub centers. Kinda bland looking.

    Daily Driver - 1998 Dodge Viper RT/10
Like - A purist's sports car. No ABS. No TC. No LC. No AS. No YAW. No cupholder. No frills. No candyass bullshit nanny controls or driver aids. BF engine. BF wheels. One tranny - stick. Easiest car to work on since the 60s. Great G's, great torque, dependable, comfortable seating.

Dislike - That stupid balloon every car's steering wheel has to have instead of a cool sporty wheel.

I don't quite understand your dislike on the Mustang ??? What's wrong with it being a Ford ? You own a P71. Ford made. Very reliable. Very durable. You brag about this car. You've recommended this car to numerous people on this website.

Now on to the Ford Mustang. You dislike it because it's a Ford.. Why did you purchase a project car knowing it was a Ford ?

They run great , and are very good at what they are supposed to do, but when it comes to working on them they are total nightmares. Little things like poorly designed electrical plugs, and you need every sized wrench and socket in your box just to change a headlight bulb. they will use 1/4 inch and 9/32 screws on the same object! It's so very weird.

case - I did the valve cover gaskets on the vic, the first step is to jack up the front end, and remove the passenger tire and splash shield. Step two - remove EVERYTHING from the firewall on both sides.. the complete a/c system and braking system.. I had to recharge the a/c and replace the dryer just to change a $19 gasket.. Fords are not designed to be worked on without a beer in your hand.. not like the hondas, dodges, nissans, toyotas.. they keep things in mind for the shared_user.

Everybody's lists are looking good! I'm glad people are taking this seriously. This is nice. Thanks guys!
