The mad downforce created by the duckbill bumper causes the front of the car to nearly touch the ground at speeds >80mph (warning speeds in excess of 95mph may cause your car to cartwheel). This active technology allowes drag racers to trigger staging lights with their front wheels while triggering the finish lights 3 feet in advance with the duckbill. Additionally, the rear wheels are lifted completely off of the ground. This reduction in drag increases your 1/4 mile times.
Additionally, the duckbill is weighted with lead. This addition of weight in front of the front axle gives the duckbill Civic unique FWD launch characteristics. It can almost hook up.
