that happnes to 4.6 mustangs ith wet kits all the time....
the main reason is people do not use qwindow switches and purge kits...
at low rpm when the nitrous system kicks in, it starts dumping gas, an un-purged line will not feed out nitrous right away, and you end up with alot of unburnt gas.....
without the window switch, the nitrous system comes on too early before the engine reaches wot, and once again you have an extremely rich condition..... and a little spark and kaboom!!!
i saw this happen at NMRA and it actually blew the hood halfway off of a stang and bowed out the fenders and front bumper......
fordman has a great pic of it......200 points away from a 300
