Does anyone know where I can get a fuel injector tested?

The boost-mixture adjuster on my car is controlled by a bosch solenoid that is effectively the same thing as a bosch fuel injector. Its used as an in line pressure valve to adjust my CIS fuel injections fuel-air metering circuit.

Before I spend the bucks on a new electronic controller I would like to verify that it is not just a toasted valve.

I can easily remove it from the car if anyone has any suggestions as to where I can take it.

I am also open to suggestions on improvised testing. I have considered just hooking it up to 12V but since I am a person who has grown up in the days of carburation I dont know if that will destroy or open the valve.
