Nissan is kicking everyones butt with the new Altima. The new Accord woul need at least another 30HP to compete. AND A 5 SPEED V6 OPTION!! HELLO?? HONDA ARE YOU LISTENING??!!!

The Maximas main competitor is going to be the Toyota Avalon. Im sure the Accord V6 will come with at least a 5-speed. They might even try to surprise with a sport version with a 6-speed..Originally posted by "Someone"

Even though I dislike Nissan a whole lot especially after driving one this past weekend.....I agree with you about Honda needed to catch up ASAP if they want to compete. I used to be all about Honda....but now Im kinda over it.

The new SER Spec V drivers VERY well. Probably the best handling small car Ive ever driven. Pleanty of low end torque for around town...just looses it about 1500 before red line.
The G20 I wasnt so impressed with. but the Maxima Ive always liked (who wouldnt like a high 14 sec stock sedan). Ive owned 3 Altimas from 94-97 in my family and all have been great cars. I put 77000 miles on the 97 w/o a problem (other than cheap rotors).
Nissan and Toyota are my favorite car manufacturers. Especially Nissan after Ive learned so much about thier motors over seas. Mitsubishi has one great motor the 4g63~
Hondas are great cars but they are way too hung up on the N/A thing. If they came out with turbo applications theyd get their sales back.

The engine in the SE-R may be nice but thats the only good about it. The interior was absolutely terrible. The seats were chaffing my arm plus they were uncomfy. The tranny was bad too. The clutch would come out a little then stick then suddenly pop out the rest of the way plus the one I drove was getting clutch shudder already. Power was decent but not what I was expecting. I can safely say that the SE-R is crossed off my list of cars Im interested in getting.
As for Honda after my Integra is gone I dont think Ill ever own another Honda. I have been more than disappointed with mine. Mostly the transmission as the engine hasnt given me any problems as of yet.
