Tampa import scene
Who started this movement in Tampa? It started way back in Cali in the late 80's, so when did it officially come to Tampa and who is/are responsible?

Actually, the import scene in the Tampa market started taking off in teh early 90's. I remember when my dad bought a brand new 1987 Crx Si, he added Jackson racing equipment(they were into SCCA at the time). I remember going to the local hangouts, and being surrounded by Mustangs, and the club "Local Trends". Yep, good ole Ronnie Setser, and the Steak and Shake meets at Eastlake Mall.
I bought my first CRX (also a 1987 Si) back in 1991. Had custom wheels and suspension. I was an odd ball. In 1993, I moved to japan for 2 years. I came back to florida in 1996, and the scene had advanced.
Who helped the Scene advance through the early years? Danny @ Racing Zone...over on Lotus, and then N Florida ave, (and now Cypress).
Not sure what this has to do with anything...but there's your answer...I think.
