2008 Pontiac G8 GT vs. 2010 Ford Taurus SHO
from Edmunds Inside line...
2008 Pontiac G8 GT vs. 2010 Ford Taurus SHO | Long-Term Road Tests Blog on Edmunds' Inside Line
enough said.Despite all the hype surrounding Ford's new twin-turbo, all-wheel drive sport sedan, our long-term Pontiac G8 GT would put it on the trailer. The Pancho is quicker, it handles better and it has better brakes. Oh, and it's much, much, much, much cheaper. In fact, for the price of the SHO you could step up to a G8 GXP. And then it's really no contest, the SHO's doors would be officially blown off.
I love my G8

I'd probably take my 6 in for one in a heartbeat. Pretty much in the same situation, low production vehicle.
I wonder how warranties stand up for that thing?Last edited by Homeless Artist; 06-27-2009 at 02:43 AM. Reason: i cant type

Two very different approaches to american muscle sedans. One a driver's car (G 8 GT) the other a luxury sport sedan (SHO.)
Both offer a lot of performance for their dollar that the foreign competitors can't match. I think both are sure fire winners. I'd go with the G8 GXP over the SHO personally, but I can't discount the versatility, and overall class of the new more modern SHO. I can't wait to see some head up comparisons between the two.Last edited by fastforward; 06-27-2009 at 11:30 AM.

White for me.
Current car is my first and last black car i'll ever own. Funny how I wanted white in the first place, settled for black after they stopped making white versions in '07, and wished i had it ever since.
I'm still debating dropping 4k or so to repaint it exactly white like the 06 models.
White G8 would be sweeeet.
