Engine dyno -- NOT chassis dyno
Hey guys,
Anyone know off the top of their heads of a shop in the Tampa area that has an engine dyno -- not a chassis dyno. I'm talking about dynoing the engine on a stand, unbolted from the vehicle.
Only place I found (other than gokart engine dyno) was in Tavares FL, JBN Racing. If possible, I'd like to find one that's a little closer -- any ideas?
Thanks!

I know there is a machine shop right around Ulmerton that had one, I had my flywheel resurfaced there and walked right past it.
I want to say Nelson brothers was the name but reallly not sure."They must really feed each other to the lions down there........"

^^^ That's what I figured, and it's the reason I posted/tried google rather than just start randomly calling every listing I could find.
Thanks for the input, guys -- I'll try Nelson Bros. and see what they say.
If anyone else knows of a local shop that definitely has an engine dyno, plese let me know

The machine shop that is a part of United Speed world has one. Not sure what motors they have it setup for, you can't just bring any old engine in there and have it dynoed.
Don't bother giving me "rep", I won't return it and I think it is stupid.

Trust me, I know how it is. UCF has a chassis dyno with the same story. Its interesting how universities brag about how much their budget is, and how little it gets spread...Formula gets $3500 a year or so to build the whole car, Baja gets $6k or so since its in two competitions. Of course, being college kids, scraping by with a tight budget is nothing new.
Anyways, Im getting off topic. I too have wondered about engine dynos in west Florida..chassis dynos are easy to find, but if the engine is out already for a build, thats an excellent chance to test it out and tune it as well.
