did you have a type S H22? or one of the other two not so 100hp per liter H22s? because i can throw up a sr20ve from a 2001+ Primera and say oh...205hp, thats just nissan doing its thing.

What I had doesn't matter , we are talking about the potential the engines had from the factory, in comparison to the shelby. even though both were built for two different reasons

But I did not sucker into a type S, I would not spend the extra money for an engine I was going to build anyways.
and your forgetting the 1.6L that nissan had which put out 170+ hp .. but still had the tq of a honda.
omnis are fun though , oddly there is one at a junkyard right now in brandon. I prefer them over the 80's chargers any day.

For you Honda guys in the dark....

SR16VE N1 was released in the Asian market in 1997-1998. This 1.6L I4 put out 197hp/134tq. That's 123hp per litre, more than anything Honda ever put out in a production car. Just want to reiterate what Devils stated.
Anyway... enough bullshit. Keep postin up the sleepers.Last edited by Superluminal; 06-13-2009 at 01:29 AM.

All this bitch'n about if 13's are slow or not. Who cares...all I know is that 90% of the people on TR wish their car could pull 13's. (present company included.) In the world of drag racing, sure it's nothing to write home about, but for a D.D. 4 banger car thats still comfortable to drive everyday, it's pretty good. And for a car designed and built in 1984, I'd say that's damn good. Considering most smog-ridden rides from back then were happy to pull under 20 sec.
Anyway...enough of that crap....more pics.
I don't know what's under the hood here, but it looks pretty sweet for a Pacer.
Maybe not exactly a sleeper....as it does look fast for an old fugly AMC.

The 2.2/2.5 Dodge turbo motors are great. I worked with a guy who bought a very clean n. omni and a rusted up GLH. He swapped the motor, brakes and suspension from the GLH into the good car. Ran 3 inch exhaust, ported the head, intercooler, etc. He ended up selling it before it was full broken in, so he never actually got to time it.
