My Bro's 1997 Dodge Neon

Its the SOHC 2.0 L 4 banger base model.
Peep the Sporty OEM wing.(got it from a junkyard W00T!)
The mismatched walmart hubcaps, lolz!
but anyways the car is stock and I wanted to change that, I'm talking him into buying a short ram air intake off of ebay, for like 40 bucks.
and i just wanted to know of any other low budget ways to increase power? It's a daily driver and I would really appreciate any advice, thanks!

Good thread

Are your blinker's too slow? well hell try this!

Do you want improved braking? Try these cross diller brake lines (you can find them off ebay!)

I'm sure you heard of the X and Y pipes before right? nothing can touch the O pipe!!! It provides 100% back pressure feedback on ALL engines!! Torque increase and kuneutson valve float brings in much lower revs so you don't hurt your motor!
nothing can touch the O pipe!!! It provides 100% back pressure feedback on ALL engines!! Torque increase and kuneutson valve float brings in much lower revs so you don't hurt your motor! Not CARB Legal.

When cleaning your engine bay and you are seeking that extra shine, try new Chrome Hollow Spark Plug Wires! Unique "hollow" design wires allow ignition molecules to flow freely from your distribution point to your motor apex!

I hope I helped on your search for more performance, the budget way, Good luck!

This is rediculous.
...and we wonder where uneducated ricers come from.
The new age of car enthusiasts is unwilling to teach.

I'm one to modify any car. I can see the potential in everything. So don't by any means think I'm bashing any specific vehicle.

Tips:
Don't get a short ram. At best you gain nothing.
Free flowing exhaust MAY get you 3-5hp.
If you're just starting off, learn the basics. Learn maintenance and repairing before you try to modify.

Thanks for the tips and advice, although I'm not an uneducated ricer, haha!
Just it's not too easy to find parts for the SOHC, plus it's an automatic which makes it more difficult, and I was just looking for help to locate parts for his car.

Here is one of my favorite quotes from you.......

"His valve cover is restricting air flow to his intake"

don't drop money into a automatic neon.
its like me dropping hundreds into my mirage.
only reason i put a short ram in mine was for the sound (knowing that it would not gain any HP)
