i know some ways but i wanna hear what some of you have to say..

i wanna do this on my headlights. would you use clear tint spray or tint like at a tint shop

is that the lens thats dark or the housing? shit, ask racer_x (frank) he'd know. he might be able to even paint them for you.

VHT Nightshade or whatever its called. Smoking lights is pretty common/easy.

Thats the lens BTW.

This is the only product I've ever seen someone use to black out/tint/darken taillights/sidemarkers/headlights/etc.

4 coats and you're good to go.

you know, you dont have to buy niteshade. there is always smoked lense tint @ DECALFX.com! Smoked Tail Lights, Film Tint Overlays, Vinyl Decals, Stickers, Lens Protection for Taillights, Brake Lights, Head Lights, Fog Lights, Foglights, Smoke Windscreen, Lens Paint

I as on the highway the other night with some idiot that did his headlights and taillights, and the taillights sucked, and his headlights didn't light up the road well at all. If he held a flashlight out of the window, it would have helped more.

If someone rearends you you can get fucked if you have tinted tails, other than that no one really messes with you about it.

The light output would be my main concern but with a set of hid's this might be acceptable. I wouldn't go nearly that dark personally though.
