got pulled over, need advice

well i finally got my 1st official ticket in the subie.

heres the scenario: I was driving down bruce b downs with a friend i havnt seen since i graduated in 2004, he joined the military and we're hanging. he said get on it im like man bruce b downs sux with cops but whatever. God i wish i never downshifted. i got pulled going 87 in a 45. cop literally takes 40 mins to write me the ticket. he says i have to go to court within 30 days. he also said it wont cost anything and on the ticket it doesnt say i have to pay a ticket fee or anything so hopefully i dont have to pay an outrageous speeding bill. my friend said he knows a lawyer who i can pay $100.00 too and he'll take care of the ticket and i wont have to go to court but that sounds a lil shady to me. i just wanted to know what you guys think i should do. also if i do go to court, wtf do i tell the judge? the truth?

30 over is reckless driving, Which is not good DEFINITELY get a lawyer

you were doing almost double the speed limit, it took so long bc he was probably trying to figure out if he should arrest you or not, definitely get a lawyer!

i've heard of traffic lawyers being that cheap...get the lawyer and pray!!! If you do go to court than yes, tell the judge the truth and appologize.

Your lucky, when i get pulled 5-7 cops pull up because my driving record blows get a lawyer and you will be fine

i know when you get tickets you get shit in the mail. i rly dont feel like hearing my mom scream at me while im trying to take a shit or cook lunch.

You cant unless you gave them a different address, You will get a letter in the mail about your court date, So jus beat them to the mail everyday

i got pulled voer going 88 in a 45 a while ago next to a corrolla who was speeding. i was accused of street racing the corolla....... ended up with the ticket, went to court, got yelled at by the judge for my driving record( all of my tix are at least 20 over) and had tot ake a 12 hour driving class, and pay 400 something dollars. wasn't as bad as it could have been btu still sucked.
