I would love to have an S2k, but they're not practical enough for me. I go back and forth to college, and I have to carry all my shit, my coupe is barely getting the job done as it is. If I was going to pay what they wanted for a new CR, and I didn't need to carry anything, then I'd just get a used Elise for the same price.
Like I said, in a few months when my car is finished I'll go back and offer invoice, tell them I want $10k and ~$400 payments and we'll see. If I get it then we can see how long until it gets stolen.

cool, and extra $20,000 and it comes pre-riced out.
im sure that wing is COMPLETELY functional, that civics gonna need it when its pushing 1.5 lateral G's around Sebring with its breathtaking 180hp that actually reaches the pavement (from the wrong wheels i might add). give me a break, SRT-8 300C's go for 40k. I wouldn't ever buy a tibby. Same goes with scion. I absolutely refuse to own one. I have never liked the styling on the hyundais, and the interior doesnt really strike me as impressive either. The SI interior is pretty nice for not being leather. I think the seats are more comfortable than my friends MKV GTI, though the civic dash/cluster/steering wheel does look like a spaceship designed in the 70s. I like the nice big tach and the simple display. The GTI's MFD has all kinds of unnecesary crap right in the middle of the cluster. I like that Honda kept it simple. Fuel, temp, speed, and RPM.

My first choice was the EVO X with a flappy paddle gearbox, but thanks to my student loans I can't afford the >$500 monthly payments while going to school. So what would you suggest in the 23-25K price range I look at? Remember, no scions, no hyundais, and no VWs.

Not a fan at all of the new subarus. I'd like an 07, but they're harder to find and still pricey.
The only reason I wanted the EVO was the gearbox really. Dual clutch, automatic in drive, even simulating torque converter creep, full manual in sport mode, with shifts taking about .008 seconds. How much are the newer 350Zs? I'm sure theyre more than $23k. And mark, hell no. I enjoy my 28mpg city and severe lack of oversteer. I might drive a GTO if it had a full Monaro conversion, but that would be the only way.
