best coolant mixture that everyone uses?
whats everyones opinion its time to change coolant in my car.. or maybe can hopefully solve this problem. I just had the oil changed on the burban worked flawlessly for 2 days until i notice the temp gauge just slowly goes up to 260 and comes back down to normal in a timeframe of about 30 seconds.. it only happens when im at a light then it stays put and work its way up to about 210 then when i go it hits 260 then 30 seconds later back down to about 180... i changed the sending unit on it.. i was thinking of thermostat and the coolant next then the water pump because that does seems like a ghost you can chase...

supposedly water cools better then coolant, but coolant doesn't rust like water

the premix 50/50

If you run distilled water you eliminate a lot of the problems of tap water. Throw some Redline water wetter in the mix and you'll have the better benefits of coolant with the better cooling ability of water.
EDIT: I was typing this while bowtie posted so basically I've read the same thing and have used it in my motorcycles, trucks, and cars with NO problems. NO rust, calcium build-up, or goofy temp problems.Central Florida Auto Works!!! As far as the mixture, I run about 70/30 water/coolant myself. Coolant is only necessary in Florida for corrosion inhibiting and water pump lubrication.
