dumps = death?
well i called a local exhaust shop to have my exhaust cut right past the muffler and he said that their shop would not do it because it puts carbon monoxide into the car.. he said he had a close friend die from it...
i have never heard of anyone dieing from dumping the exhaust right past the muffler and i know a couple people that have them.. has anyone else heard of anyone dieing from it?

As long as you have a cat, dieing from CO is unlikely nowadays. I'm sure most of us with dumping external wastegates will agree they dont get drowsy, but then again the wastegate isnt open the entire time the car is on.
I say if nothing else, side dump. I'm thinking I'll end up doing that myself

It will smell, but it wont kill you... I had dumps before the axle on my rx7 and everyone knows they are the richest running cars anyway... I never felt drowsy or anything...

How many of my stangs had dumps chris? Lol, every single one of them.
Hell, the last one I had with the PI heads,etc. had a 3" cattless x-pipe and dumps, never really even smelt like gas and lord knows that car dumped a shit-ton of fuel. Go to pitts-stop in auburndale, or Tmec and I can get you the hookup, just gotta catch me when I'm not working..

driving from lakeland to auburndale with open headers on my ls1 was the SHIT!
