To the focus driver: I'm not old, I prefer the sound of my mad tyte JDM VTAK revving to 9000 rpm to the sound of POS wal-mart subs. If you turn your shit down in traffic, thats fine, but most people don't.

To Jon, I don't see why my mounts should be illegal, its not like the car makes any noise at idle, it just kinda vibrates. Its a plus with the ladies in the car, not so awesome when you have a headache though.

Unfortunately, I have a friend who has em. I think it's retarded. I had a nice little system in my old Accord, so I'm guilty of the loud stereo gimmick. I just think the penalty is a bit much. At least for a 1st offense. In the article in today's paper, someone mentioned Harley's should be included as well, which has always been an argument in regards to say Honda's being cited for their exhaust. Noise is noise, no matter what it's coming from. You shouldn't be able to cite one and not the other.

Agreed. I hate to put it this way, but the "noise makers" that are targeted are mainly used by the younger crowd. Of course, going back to the stereotype of young, punk kids and/or trouble makers.

Rex Si Chic has a good point,i ran headers and glass packs on my pontiac for 25 years...was it loud?i still have ringing in my ears from it (sold the car over a year ago) never got pulled for making too much noise,even though i ran a couple of times with open headers,which was more than i wanted to hear.yes they are after the kids
