i have a question
ok so i got fired it sucks now i have to sell my baby my pride and joy my mustang. so i went to the little buy here pay here lot i bought it from and he has what can be called a dimond in the ruff. Its a 1990 dodge spirit with a 2.5l turbo motor in it. and it only has 59xxx orignal miles on it. the turbo doesnt smoke or anything like that in fact the engins in perfect running order he bought the car two years ago from my some old lady and had plans to fix it up and drive it but never did. so its been sitting in his carlot for about two years. so it will need a new fuel filter sparkplugs and what not to run but other then that its all minor stuffs. So my question is are these cars good i know they have tranny problems all the early dodge cars do but how are they turbo wise and motor wise

so you got fired from your job and cant afford to pay off the remaining 1700 on your current car and you want to get into another "project?"
what is this? some sort of joke?

His questions do make sense... Why buy another car when another is on the verge of repossession and you do not have a job or money...?
Either way, I wouldn't "invest" money into it. Seems rather pointless for a "dimond in the ruff," whatever the hell that means.
Good luck with the job search.

oh i know theres definitely a forum for the dodge turbo 4's of the 80's and early nineties...i think they look cool as shit, and theyre definitely unique. I would drive one...i wouldnt even mind driving a shelby daytona, if it was built right with aftermarket from the ground up, but never a factory one, reliability definitely fails with those...
okay

Do it.
2.2/2.5 GLH engine's are badass.
Reliable/powerful.
Cheap to build, cheap to maintain. One of these days when my time has come, You can take me back to where I'm from.
Put me on a westbound train, An' ship me off in the pourin' rain.

SO you're trading your running car that you owe money on for a project car that's going to need work to get running? How are you going to get a job without a car, and how are you going to fix the car without a job? Jesus.

for right now im useing my girls car to find a job as far as tradeing my running car its not so much tradeing more like you give the car back to us and we give you this car instead and call it even or we repo your running car ruin your credit and leave you with nothing. so you can see where the choice was an easy one
anyway truthfully the car dosnt need that much work to get on the road a new set of spark plugs new fuel filter and the gas tank needs to be drained and probly an oil change
